Notice of Annual General Meeting 2016

Dear QRCC members,

Congratulations to all of us the new QRCC Constitution has been registered successfully! On behalf of the Board I would like to thank everyone for your support while this process has been going through different stages. Finally we start working in accordance with the new QRCC Constitution!

Please be advised that the Annual General Meeting (AGM) for the QRCC will be held on the 18th December 2016 at 12:00 noon at the QRCC premises at 19 Lotus street, Woolloongabba. Registration will be opened from 11:00 am, so please do not be late. The AGM Agenda, Nomination Form and Proxy Form are enclosed. Please be aware that only registered members may nominate, be nominated and vote at AGM. Members will only be required to vote for each of the vacancies where there is more than one nomination for a position. All candidates for the new Board of Directors must attend this meeting in person.

Please note that prior to the AGM the QRCC is holding its Nomination Special General Meeting on the 4th December 2016 at 11:00 am at the QRCC premises at 19 Lotus street, Woolloongabba. Any member, who is interested in nominating for a position in the next Board of Directors, may attend this meeting, and will be given an opportunity to introduce themselves and advise the meeting of their qualification and experience. Please be aware that no other businesses except nominations will be discussed at this meeting. You are able to nominate up to three candidates in total, but one person per one position only. So please use a separate Nomination Form for each position you wish to nominate for. Completed Nomination Forms must be lodged with the secretary prior to Nomination Meeting, by post to 19 Lotus street, Woolloongabba, QLD 4102, or be submitted to the secretary on the day of the Nomination Meeting by the close of that meeting. Late applications will not be accepted.

Please be advised that the appointment of a Proxy must be in writing and signed by the member making the appointment and certified by Justice of the Peace or other authorities with similar rights. Proxy Form appointing a proxy must be given to the Chairperson of the AGM before the AGM. Proxy Form appointing a proxy sent by post or electronically is no effect unless it is received by the secretary no later than 48 hours before the commencement of the AGM.

It is highly recommended to read relevant parts of QRCC Constitution (part III: 16-22, part IV, division 4: 32-36) to get more information about the AGM, Nomination Meeting, Proxies etc, as it will help to avoid any misunderstanding and will allow everyone to act to comply with the new QRCC Constitution. The QRCC Constitution may be provided electronically upon the request in addition to hard copies placed at the premises of QRCC.

We look forward to your support at 2016 Annual General Meeting!

Yours sincerely,
QRCC Secretary
