Our new Electrolux oven that we can thank Mr Kelvin Mark,s Marketing Manager from SilverChef who went out of his way to assist us. We had it installed and certified with a few hours to spare before our biggest wedding ever.
I would also like to thank both Lenas for their dedication over a very busy weekend. We were complimented by the chef (A well known Brisbane Identity) and his supervisor who could not believe only three people made this wedding the wedding it was.
The QRCC also wish to thank the brides father for the donation of wine for our May Day event. It is very rear that anybody gives away a few cartons of wine, especially French and Italian.
The downturn was a telephone call from our neighbours at 6am (2hours after we arrived home) that we had another sewage overflow. So it was back to Brisbane. The cause this time was tree roots and recent flooding.
Our special thanks to the two Urban Utilities workers after hours on site they managed to have it cleared.
We have at least a year before we have to replace our sewer pipes. Thanks to Gabe who came to assist in the clean-up. We left the QRCC at 8pm, a very long and busy weekend, but it is all part of being volunteers.
Finely we have had a BBQ donated so if anyone has a current registered gas bottle we would appreciate it.
We hope to christen it on our up coming Family day 'Hip Hop Day 'on the 1st June.
We have had a run of bad luck with our ceiling fans in the main hall with many now replaced.
