The Russian Community Centre, located in Wooloongaba, Queensland, is the main central facility for the vast Australian-Russian population living in Brisbane. It is home to many specialty Russian clubs that help promote the Russian culture and traditions in Australia. The centre also has a number of its halls available for hire to the general public.

Say Goodbye to Russian Winter

Presidents report
On Saturday 15th March the QRCC held a Maslenica Family day with the focus not on a profit but to have a fun day for the children and adults.
We welcomed new members visitors from Victoria, Europe and those with Russian ancestry.
Thanks to Serena who had a fantastic honey display and explained the workings of a Bee Keeper.
A special thanks to the following members, Olga and her girls put on a fabulous performance along with Lena and her son Dima, Kostya and his granddaughter who enchanted us all with their guitar playing.
Lena Proskurina our MC who organised the children in games. Svetlana Remington who not only performed but also helped make the fantastic selection of pancakes that everyone enjoyed along with our other ladies of the committee, Lena Sartakova, Lena Proskurina and Lena Manou.
Finally I would like to thank Lara Urumashvilli and the Tanya and their children who stayed back to assist in the cleaning the hall.
The QRCC kept the entry price low and this reflected in the amount of people who turned up.
The committee decided when we put this programme together we would focus on lots of gifts with the price range not exceeding $200 with most prizes in the range of $12.00 - $35.00.
We hope that next year the same event will be repeated but bigger and better.
