The Russian Community Centre, located in Wooloongaba, Queensland, is the main central facility for the vast Australian-Russian population living in Brisbane. It is home to many specialty Russian clubs that help promote the Russian culture and traditions in Australia. The centre also has a number of its halls available for hire to the general public.

Elections and Voting of the Deputies of the State Duma of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation on 4th of December 2011

Dear Citizens of The Russian Federation,

As the voting for the Deputies of the State Duma of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation 6th convocation to take place on the 4th of December 2011 there will be 2 Polling Districts organized in Queensland:

1. Gold Coast ¹5359 – 4 Bayview Street, Runaway Bay, QLD 4216
2. Brisbane – Lotus street 19, Wooloongaaba, QLD

On the Elections day the Gold Coast Polling Stations will be opened for voting from 08.00 till 20.00 (local time). Brisbane Polling Station will be opened from 10.00 to 12.00.

To be put in the List of voters at a Polling Station on the Election day a voter is to verbally declare a wish to vote and to provide the representatives of the Commission with a valid Russian document (PASSPORT)*.

To be put in the List in advance, you are to send to The Consulate General of The Russian Federation written Declaration at least one day prior to the Election Day by post

The Declaration must contain not only your wish to be put in the list, but also your full name, passport validity date, address you live in Australia and number of the Polling Station you are planning to vote at.

• Sailor’s Passport
